What to Expect During the Procedure
One of our nationally certified Computed Tomography (CT) technologists will escort you to the table and ask you to lie down on your back or stomach depending
on the procedure. Not all of the CT procedures require IV contrast. If your procedure requires IV contrast you will be asked
to sign an informed consent form, once the consent is signed, an IV will be started before you are taken into the CT scanner
for your procedure. Our CT procedures usually take between 10-20 minutes.
How Should I Prepare?
One of our representatives will call to confirm your appointment, go over some health questions and will also remind you of your exam
If an IV contrast is scheduled take no food or drink by mouth 2 hours prior to this procedure.
If an IV contrast is not scheduled no special preparation is required.
Please notify our staff with any special needs.
What to Expect After the Procedure
If you received IV contrast then we suggest plenty of clear liquids for the next 24 hours. Reports will be sent to your physician
within 5 business days. Contact your physician for information related to findings.
