CT of Brain with Contrast
What to Expect During the Procedure
One of our nationally certified Computed Tomography (CT) technologists will escort you to the table and ask you to lie down on your back.
Since your procedure requires IV contrast, you will be asked to sign an informed
consent form. Once the consent is signed, an IV will be started before you are taken into the CT scanner for your procedure. Our CT procedures
usually take between 5-20 minutes.
How Should I Prepare?
One of our representatives will call to confirm your appointment, go over some health related questions with you, and remind you of
exam preparation requirements.
No food or drink by mouth at least 2 hours prior to this CT.
Please notify our staff with any special needs.
What to Expect After the Procedure
We recommend plenty of clear liquids for the next 24 hours. Reports will be sent to your physician within 5 business days.
Contact your physician for any information pertaining to the findings.
