Mary E. Swain, MD, FACR
Dr. Swain's Story
Dr. Swain is a graduate of Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky. She completed medical school at Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Swain served her internship at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. and her residency at Duke University Medical Center; she was Chief Resident from 1988 to 1989. She completed a 6 month fellowship in mammography at Duke University Medical Center in 1988 before joining Radiology Associates in 1989. Dr. Swain served as President for the Florida Radiological Society from 1999 to 2000. Her special interest is mammography. Dr. Swain was elected as a fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) in May of 2007. Most recently, Dr. Swain was awarded the Florida Radiological Society Gold Medal in July of 2018. She was one of two radiologists recognized at the 2018 annual FRS meeting for her career of contributions to radiology.
